Told Cecilia XXII

This is a sort of post dictum,
in case there is such a thing, –
told Cecilia recalling
vertiginous likeness
between two chalk drawings.
One – of Christina Rossetti
at the age of fourty-seven
completed by her brother Dante Gabriel
in 1877,
the other of Alexander Block
by Konstantin Somov
from 1907, when the Russian poet
was twenty-seven years old.
